Menus on FoodFinder.net are not always accurate. The can happen for a number of reasons:
- Some restaurants change their menus frequently (sometimes daily): There are a lot of creative chef's in the world and they express their creativity. We can't always keep up.
- We get our menus online from the restaurant web sites: Sometimes, there are reasons the restaurant's site is not up-to-date (see above).
- Sometimes are algorithm doesn't get it right: To find restaurants, we spider restaurant sites and will try to infer a menu. Essentially, if we have a menu for McDonald's in Boston, MA, and our spider identifies a McDonald's in San Diego, CA...we may assume they have the same menu. Sometimes we're right...sometimes, we're wrong. You should still get a good sense of what the restaurant has to offer.
- Pricing is even more volatile: The economy is a harsh mistress. Our beloved restaurateurs need to adapt, and we can't always keep up. If you see a price, consider it a guideline
That's a pretty discouraging list, but we also get a lot of menus right, and foodies still need to know what you love and hate, so if you see something you've had, but isn't served anymore, rate it anyway. Great recommendations will soon follow.
