Cafe Sole Luna is quite literally a stones-throw from my house, but until a few months back...I never made it in to the quaint little Italian spot. I walked by just about every day, and it's not uninviting, in fact, it's got quite a bit of curb appeal. We'll, since trying it, I'm slowly working my way to regular status. At least for breakfast.

From past visits, I can confidently say that the croissant sandwiches here are about as good as you'll find, but on this particular morning, I went with a spinach and feta scramble. Simply awesome! They managed to cook the eggs perfectly, which is no easy feat (this was the second time they nailed it, too).

The one night I made it in for dinner, I was pretty impressed, too. It wasn't the best Italian I'd ever had, but for the money, I was blown away.

Service is typical...neither bad nor great, but you don't come here for the service. It's the delicious food at a great value. Also, the casual but cozy atmosphere makes a great spot to bring a date. Plus, the neighborhood is awesome ;)

POSITIVE
Decent Italian food is not abundant in San Diego. I expect this list to be quite short.
